![]() ![]() ![]() I am guessing I need to still blacklist them at least. Have you had any experience using the Device driver manager with the NVIDIA legacy drivers? When I use Mint 13 I always install Device driver manager if I need to switch graphic drivers. later Mints (3.2.0-23-generic is my kernel)?Ĥ) Is there a way to optimize the existing nouveau drivers so I can run Steam? why no optional drivers displayed?Ģ) Has anyone/does anyone run Mint 13 with the the legacy NVIDIA drivers?ģ) Does anyone know how installation differs on Mint 13 vs. on Mint 17 the NVIDIA drivers showed up I just get "no proprietary drivers in use on this system". I expect I would have better results with the NVIDIA drivers but don't want to kill my install, so had a few questions.ġ) When I look for additional drivers nothing shows up vs. So, it seems pretty clear (I think) that the system is using my FX5200 card with the nouveau drivers NV34 which I believe is correct. Most methods seem to apply to Mint 17 only. I have been through hours of reading about installing the NVIDIA drivers, but unfortunately every system is a little different and the experiences with the various methods differ quite a bit. ![]()
